2000A AC/DC Current Clamp with PicoBNC+ (TA388)
The Pico 2000A AC/DC Current Clamp (TA388) does not require a battery, it is powered by the scope (4225A/4425A) via the PicoBNC+ connector.
PicoBNC+™ enables the PicoScope software to auto-configure itself for the TA388 2000A AC/DC Current Clamp when used with a compatible PicoScope such as the 4225A or 4425A. Additionally, ranging is carried out automatically with no user switching required and the clamp is auto-zeroed whenever connected to the scope.
The wide range (1A to 2000A) of the Pico TA388 allows it to be used for a wide assortment of high current tests:
- Battery testing with PicoDiagnostics software
- Relative compression testing
- Starter motor testing
- Alternator output testing
- Hybrid and EV electric motor current
Pico's 2000A clamp also features auto-ranging allowing the TA388 to be used in many applications where a "low amp" clamp would normally be required such as checking injector and ignition current.
