Drew hopes to release an updated Mongoose for GM, but has not annouced a date. It will be called the Mongoose-Plus GM3.
Mongoose GM II and MDI 2 Compatibility
I was attempting to program a new transponder key on a 2021 Yukon today, and the SPS software popped up a message that I needed an MDI 2 for that vehicle. I could not communicate with the BCM for immobilizer functions. However, the Mongoose Pro GM II did read the VIN. I assume the Pro GM II is not compatible with MDI 2. Is this correct? I know it's compatible with GDS 2, but that's not the same thing. Are there any plans for Drewtech to provide an updated pass-thru for these newer Global A vehicles that use a gateway for communication? Thank you.
